This Invitation to Bid includes installing new Florida Building Code approved hurricane/impact resistant entry doors on Station 64 and the Public Works Depot. Station # 64 was originally built in 1995 and included 2 engine bays, offices and living quarters for the growing fire department. In 2018, an addition was constructed to add a fitness room and bunker gear storage/laundry room to the facility. The Public Works Depot was originally built in 2002 and houses the Public Works administrative offices, Fleet Maintenance, Field Operations, Stormwater Management and the Traffic Sign shop. Both buildings are metal construction. The City of Deltona reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals and to make the award to that Bidder/Respondent, who in the opinion of the City will be in the best interest of and/or the most advantageous to the City. The City of Deltona also reserves the right to reject the bid/proposal of any vendor who has previously failed in the proper performance of an award or to deliver on time contracts of a similar nature or who, in the City's opinion, is not in a position to perform properly under this award. The City of Deltona reserves the right to inspect all facilities of bidders/respondents in order to make a determination as to the foregoing. The City of Deltona reserves the right to waive any irregularities, informalities, and technicalities in offers received, and may, at its discretion, request a re-bid, or abandon the project/procurement in its entirety. Remove and haul away all old, existing doors and frames. Supply and install new hurricane/impact resistant rated doors and frames; replace all hardware, threshold, hinges, closer peep hole, perimeter seal and weatherized keypad lever set (lever set on Station 64 is to be reinstalled). Replace drywall as needed.
