Renovation of a water / sewer project in Dunedin, Florida. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of March 3, 2023 all bids for this project was rejected. No definite date for rebid yet. The work generally consists of the following: The work to be performed under these Contract Documents consists of the replacement of the electrical equipment in the City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant, inclusive of all equipment, materials and work required for operational systems that are complete and fully tested. The time allotted for this project is 600 days, for substantial completion. All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at cankney@dunedinfl.net, prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner. In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, as guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance, a Performance and Payment Bond, and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin is not responsible for the US Mail or private couriers regarding mail being delivered by the specified time so that a bid can be considered. Proposals by telephone, email, text, telegraph, or FAX will not be accepted. One contract shall be awarded for all work outlined above and described in the plans and specifications. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified. The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $10,000,000. he work to be performed under these Contract Documents consists of the replacement of the electrical equipment in the City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant, inclusive of all equipment, materials and work required for operational systems that are complete and fully tested. A. A general description of the work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Provide all equipment and materials needed for excavation, dewatering, pumping, backfilling, compaction, grading, replacement of paved and unpaved roadways, replacement of grass (sod), cleanup, clearing and grubbing, structural fill, erosion control, and painting. 2. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all materials needed and install site improvements, including clearing and grubbing, demolition, relocations, grading, drainage, tree removal, asphalt and concrete paving, concrete sidewalks, concrete equipment pads, plantings, roof drains and conveyance system, drainage swales, removal and disposal of any diesel fuel that may be within pipes and tanks designated for removal or replacement, stormwater inlets, storm drain piping, fencing, landscaping, sodding, restoration, and all other components as specified herein and as shown on the drawings. 3. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for startup, testing and training associated with all equipment provided.
