Vallejo Flood and Wastewater District (District) is seeking a qualified construction management consulting firm to provide construction management, inspection services, and materials testing for the construction of the Mare Island Pump Station Project (POF016). This is a request for proposals (RFP) from interested firms. The District Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) original design was completed in the 1950s and included the existing outfall pump station to Mare Island, (Mare Island Pump Station or MIPS). The existing MIPS has reached the end of its safe and useful service life. The District evaluated many alternatives, and determined that replacing the existing MIPS with a new MIPS and a new chlorine contact tank (CCT) adjacent to the District's existing CCT C would provide the most operational flexibility for existing and future needs. In addition, the project will replace other aging, critical infrastructure within the plant. HDR performed the evaluation and the design and Ewing Construction Services performed the biddability/constructability review in conjunction with PSOMAS.
