D264714, PIN 081041, FA Proj Z0E1-0810-413, Suffolk Co., Priority Pavement Surface Treatment, various locations, Towns of Babylon, Islip and Smithtown., Bid Deposit: 5% of Bid (~ $750,000.00) , This project proposes to restore the pavement riding surface on Southern State Parkway from NY231 to the Sagtikos State Parkway, Joshua's Path (NY111) from Suffolk Avenue to Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway), NY27 (Sunrise Highway) North Service Road from Manor Road to Udall Road, NY27 (Sunrise Highway) South Service Road from Udall Road to Malts Avenue and NY25A (Main Street) from Lawrence Road to NY25/NY25A Overlap in the Towns of Babylon, Islip and Smithtown in Suffolk County to a smooth and distress free condition by milling and resurfacing the existing pavement. All proposed pavement work is expected to increase safety and provide a smooth riding surface for vehicular travel for the next 10 to 12 years. This Project Is Located in the Long Island Region and Includes the Following: Counties Suffolk Every bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation, in the sum of the amount shown on the proposal title page. Bonds must be on form CONR 391. Electronic bids must include an electronic bid bond. Contract administration or procurement questions may be submitted either electronically or directed to Robert Kitchen, or the Assistant Director/Director of the Office of Contract Management, (518) 457-2124. Federally Aided Contracts identify a DBE Goal, and 100% NY State Funded Contracts identify both MBE and WBE Goals. Contracts with 0% Goals are generally single operation contracts, where sub-contracting is not expected, and smaller size contracts -- both of which may present direct bidding opportunities for Small Business Firms, including, but not limited to, DBE or MBE and WBE. The New York State Department of Transportation, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, as amended, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all who respond to a written Department solicitation, request for proposal or invitation for bid that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap and income status in consideration for an award. NYDOT - Priority Pavement Surface Treatment Contractors may be eligible to receive a guarantee of up to 30% to secure a surety bond line, bid bond or a performance and payment bond on State projects.
