Permits and licenses (including the City of Palestine) necessary for the execution of work shall be new. Any work necessary to be performed after regular working hours, such as work performed on the weekend or legal holidays shall be performed without additional expenses to the city If any questions arise from the RFP, the bidder may submit to questions to Daniel Forgia, Facility Maintenance, for interpretation via email at facility@palestine-tx.org. All questions should be emailed to facility@palestine-tx.org on or before 3:00 p.m., January 14, 2022. Proposals will be opened at the time, date, and location indicated above. The proposals shall remain firm for not less than thirty (30) calendar days from the date of receipt of the proposal. Bidders guarantee that all goods and services meet the requirements for the solicitation during the contract period Liquidated damages in the amount of $100.00 per day from each calendar day after the 30-day project timeline will be charged to the vendor. Liquidated damages will not be charged for delays associated with weather. Furthermore, the city will consider all other reasonable request associated with delays. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. It further reserves the right to waive technicalities and formalities in the proposals, as well as, to accept in whole or in part, such proposal(s) where it deems it advisable in protection of the best interest of the City. The city will be the sole judge as to whether proposals submitted meet all requirements contained in the solicitation.
