Renovation of an educational facility in Howard City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Category 6a Infrastructure Cabling 1. All cabling, patch panels, and keystone jacks must meet Category 6a ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Standard using T568B for this project 2. MDF, IDF, and all keystone jack locations and quantities shown on the attached map 3. Cabling must be BLUE and Plenum rated - manufacturer to be approved by District 4. Bidder is responsible for providing and installing all necessary cable trays, J-hooks, and any other wire management materials necessary to complete the project 5. Cable trays and J-hooks may not be spaced more than six (6) feet apart at any point 6. Bidder must provide proper temporary protection for cables after pulling is complete but before final dressing and termination is complete 7. A six (6) foot cabling service loop must be left for each cable in each MDF and IDF 8. Cable management inside MDF and IDF must utilize Velcro-style straps where appropriate - nylon cable ties will not be permitted 9. Cabling must be terminated at MDF and IDF to 24 port rack-mounted patch panels (bidder supplied) - manufacturer and location to be approved by District 10. Patch panels to be labeled as follows: a. MDF/IDF ID number as assigned by District b. Panel letter as assigned by District c. Port numbering shall be visible on all patch panels 11. Cabling must be terminated sequentially in patch panels to match room numbering as approved by District 12. Keystone jacks must be ORANGE - manufacturer to be approved by District 13. Keystone wall faceplates must be STAINLESS STEEL 14. Keystone jacks located above the ceiling must be housed in BLACK plenum-rated surface mount box and be suspended at least eight (8) inches above the finished ceiling 15. Each keystone jack must be labeled with machine-generated self-adhesive labels and contain the corresponding patch panel identification number 16. Patch panel identification number to be four-character labeling scheme - {2A15} IDF-2, Panel-A, Port-15 17. Wall jack labels must be placed on the faceplate, above ceiling jacks must be labeled on the ceiling grid nearest the jack location 18. Bidder is responsible for grommet and fire-blocking all new and existing penetrations 19. All cabling must be tested and certified. Certification report must be provided to District upon project completion 20. Any cabling that does not pass certification or that shows any signs of external damage must be replaced prior to project completion 21. An as-built floor plan with drop locations and patch panel identification numbers must be provided to District in electronic form (CAD or PDF) upon project completion 22. Bidder shall furnish and install all equipment, accessories, and materials necessary for a complete, functional Infrastructure Cabling system in accordance with these specifications The District requires notification from bidders no later than 4pm on Friday, February 11, 2022. Intent to bid notice shall contain the following information: Contact name, title, company name, email address, phone number, and which RFP is being bid on.
