Site work for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Des Moines (Jurisdiction) reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Work on each improvement shall be commenced upon approval of the contract by the Council, and completed as stated below. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. The improvement includes the reconstruction of a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) multi-use trail, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk and sidewalk ramps, drainage improvements, fencing, trail signage, traffic control, grading, site restoration, erosion control, and other associated work and incidental items; all in accordance with the contract documents, including Plan File No. 626-001/044, along the east side of the Des Moines River between Euclid Avenue and the Saylor Creek Bridge north of the city limits, and along the south side of Euclid Avenue between 16th Street and the Des Moines River. This project shall be fully completed not later than September 30, 2022 and in accordance with completion provisions.
