Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 24,760-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for paving for a fire / police facility.
This project is a voluntary seismic improvement project at the Mission Police Station located at 630 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA, which primarily involves the strengthening of four steel beams. These exposed beams occur at the four building entries where the facade is recessed. Construction will be completed in 1 phases while the police station remains occupied and operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Installation of new steel bracing will require the removal and replacement of finishes including precast concrete, interior concrete masonry units and gypsum board ceilings and walls. This project also involves several accessibility improvements to the police station including paving for 2 new accessible parking stalls, a new accessible curb ramp, a new accessible drinking fountain, and minor modifications to the existing restrooms. CONTRACT DURATION: 155 consecutive calendar days from NTP to Substantial Completion. ESTIMATE: Approximately $300,000 The LBE Subcontractor Participation Requirement for this Contract is 15 percent. 1. Pursuant to Sec. 14B.9 of the Administrative Code, bidders are hereby advised that the availability of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Woman Business Enterprises (WBE) and Other Business Enterprises (OBE) to perform subcontract work on this project is as follows:8.1% MBE; 1.1% WBE; 5.8% OBE 1) Class "B" license required to bid. 2) Pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code ("Administrative Code") Section 6.25 and Chapter 25 of the Environment Code, "Clean Construction" is required for the performance of all work. 3) Bid discounts may be applied as per Administrative Code Chapter 14B. 4) LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 15% LBE. 5) Good Faith Efforts. In accordance with Administrative Code Chapter 14B requirements, all bidders shall submit documented good faith efforts with their bids, except those who exceed the above stated LBE subcontracting participation requirement by 35%. Bidders must achieve 80 out of 100 points to be deemed responsive.
