The City of Chesapeake is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to establish an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for Annual Construction Services for Wastewater Pump Stations to include the repair and rehabilitation of wastewater pump stations and appurtenances on an as needed basis. Work consists of repairs and rehabilitation of The City of Chesapeake wastewater pump stations and shall include but not limited to:
1. Safety improvements including but not limited to stairs, wet well ladders, catwalks, bar screens, and access hatches.
2. Pump station piping, force main, valves, fittings, hangars and supports.
3. Installation of bypass pump systems.
4. Installation and/or repair of pump stations' pump control systems, digital level transducers, force main flow meters, variable frequency drives, and programmable logic controllers.
5. Pump repairs and/or upgrades.
6. Emergency or Priority response to pump station malfunctions, as needed, to assist City in response to pump station alarms, especially during inclement weather. It is estimated that work may be authorized by City point of contact as Emergency or Priority work. The Contractor may receive a percentage increase as an additional cost for delivery of services for Emergency work within four (4) hours or for Priority work within twenty four (24) hours of written or verbal communication from the city. Only the portion of the work completed under the Emergency or Priority response shall be subject to this percentage increase. Mobilization fees shall not exceed 10% of the work order.
7. Other pump station items that need to be fixed during the time this contract is in place. Period of Contract: The resulting contract shall be for three (3) years from the date of execution, with two (2), one (1) year renewal options, upon written mutual agreement of the parties.
