Renovation of a detention facility in Vienna, Illinois. Design plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of April 15,2022, an architect has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to December 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Vienna Correctional Center is a 67-building facility established in 1930. The Inmate Housing #1 (C1114), is a 20,102 square foot, 3-story building established in 1971. The Inmate Housing #4 (C1103), is a 20,303 square foot, 3-story building established in 1971.The scope of work provides for demolishing two buildings and adjoining pavements in their entirety, capping or modifying utilities supporting demolished buildings, backfilling, grading, and seeding. This project includes funding for the abatement of asbestos-containing materials. The procurement of design services by the Capital Development Board (CDB) is governed by the Illinois Compiled Statutes; Illinois Procurement Code, 30 ILCS 500 and Architectural, Engineering and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act, 30 ILCS 535. The projects from this bulletin are scheduled to be presented at the April 12, 2022, Board Meeting, unless otherwise indicated. Questions related to any information in the PSB, including instructions and submittal procedures should be directed to the QBS Department at 217/524-6400. All Architect/Engineers (A/E's) submitting statements of qualifications for a project shall be prequalified with the CDB prior to the date and time that the submittal(s) are due. Failure to be prequalified will result in rejection of the submittal(s).Consultants that will be performing architectural, engineering or land surveying professional services for the Prime A/E submitting the 330 Form shall be prequalified with the CDB prior to the date and time that the submittal(s) are due. Failure of the professional consultants to be prequalified shall result in rejection of the Prime A/E's submittal(s) Contact the CDB Contracts Pre-qualification Division at cdb.vendorreg@illinois.gov or at 217/782-2864 regarding the prequalification process. Any significant changes in the existing information provided in your firm's prequalification application form must be submitted within ten (10) days. This project will proceed subject to the Quincy Veterans' Home Rehabilitation and Rebuilding Act (330 ILCS 21) and associated administrative rules.
