Renovation of a municipal facility in Visalia, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of March 18, 2022, this contract was put on hold pending additional information to provide bidders as drawings were not available at the time of the bid.** Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) Visalia Area Office, the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools,equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) Ducting Replacement Services in accordance with the terms set forth in this Agreement. The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide HVAC Ducting Replacement Services. Bids must address all of the services described in Exhibit A entitled,Scope of Work that is included in the Proposed Agreement Forms/Exhibits section of this IFB. Exhibit A contains a detailed description of the services and work to be performed, as a result of this IFB including those terms in the referenced exhibits. The CHP intends to make a single agreement award to the responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest bid. This IFB is open to all eligible firms and/or individuals that meet the qualification requirements. 5% DVBE participation is mandatory In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, 1773 and 1773.1 of the Labor Code,the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) has ascertained general prevailing wage rates in the county in which the work is to be performed. Proposed Start Date of Agreement March 1, 2022, or Upon Approval, Whichever is Later.The term of the resulting agreement is anticipated to be effective from March 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022. CHP reserves the right to extend the term of the resulting agreement as necessary to complete or continue the services. Agreement extensions are subject to satisfactory performance, funding availability, and possibly approval by Department of General Services (DGS).CHP reserves the right to reject all bids and to cancel this IFB if it is in the best interest of CHP to do so. Walk-Through : As a courtesy, please email Lisa Johnson at lisa.johnson@chp.ca.gov to confirm your plans to attend this walk-through. Mail or arrange for hand delivery of the bid package to the Department of California Highway Patrol, Business Services Section, Contract Services Unit. Bids may not be transmitted electronically by fax or email.Regardless of postmark or method of delivery, the CHP Business Services Section,Contract Services Unit must receive the bid package by the date and time stated in section B of this IFB, entitled "Time Schedule". Contractor shall provide a Payment Bond equal to 100 percent of the value of the Agreement.Successful bidder shall furnish an original faithful performance bond and a duplicate copy in a sum not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable under the contract. This project is under the jurisdiction of the CHP, who will execute the contract documents, coordinate with Contractor as necessary and conduct inspections to ensure that the work is conducted in strict accordance with the Specifications. No deviations from these Specifications will be permitted without concurrence and subsequent authorization from CHP Facilities Coordinator. Contractor shall: A. Remove existing duct work, ensuring that ceiling and ceiling tiles are not damaged, and ensure all state property and equipment is protected and preserved from damage. B. Install new duct work from each unit supply and return plenum as needed tying into existing HVAC vents. C. Check duct work for abnormal sounds or vibrations. D. Inspect all duct work throughout facility for leaks and loose insulation. E. Provide all materials and supplies. F. Properly dispose of all garbage and leave work site clean and clear of debris. G. Be responsible for all fees, permits, licenses, and all costs to complete the project. H. Prepare worksite to prevent any damages to existing walls, ceiling, floor, other equipment, etc. Contractor, at no expense to the CHP, shall repair all damages caused by the contractor, contractor's subs and/or vendors. I. Provide manufacturer's product warranty at completion of project as well as warranty workmanship for a period of one (1) year
