Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, the roof replacement with stone-coated steel roofing material as listed below: 1. Remove existing asphalt shingles. 2. Install a new stone-coated metal roof system, such as: o Boral "Granite Ridge" in "English Suede" color. i. https://boralroof.com/product-profile/steel/granite-ridgeshingle/4DBP93185SF o Or equal, as approved by CCPRC. a. Product used must have a 2 1/2 " hailstone warranty, a 120-mph wind warranty, and a non-pro-rated transferable lifetime warranty. b. Attach panels using #10 X 1 1/4 " stainless steel screws with 7/16" diameter heads. c. All work must be done by a factory-trained installer and installed strictly according to manufacturer's recommendations, including chimney flashing, pipe jacks and pipe jack trays, hip and ridge caps, rigid roll ridge vent, valley flashing and valley caps, starter strips, and all other appropriate, manufacturer-supplied components. The Base Bid must also include, but not be limited to, furnishing all services, labor, materials and equipment for 1) removing and disposing of rotten sheathing and installing new sheathing in the same dimension rot replacement for an estimated quantity of seven (7) 4' x 8' sheets of 5/8" CDX, 2) for the removal and disposing of rotten framing lumber and installing new lumber of the same dimension and specifications of an estimated board feet of Dimensional lumber and 3) Remove existing sub-fascia, cut rafter tails as necessary to straighten, replace sub-fascia with pressure treated 2'x6' and paint to match structure for an estimated 478 lineal feet. The Undersigned hereby agrees that this bid may not be revoked or withdrawn after time set for opening of bids, but shall remain open for acceptance for a period of SIXTY (60) days following such time. Contract Acceptance: In case the Undersigned be notified in writing by mail, email, telefax or delivery of acceptance of this bid, he agrees to execute, within ten days from notice, a contract for the work for the above-stated amount and at the same time to furnish and deliver to Owner a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to 100 percent of the contract sum. Completion Time: The Undersigned agrees to commence actual physical work at the site, with an adequate force and equipment, within ten calendar days from a date to be established in a "Notice to Proceed" and to substantially complete the work by April 1, 2022 or sooner. The Undersigned understands that should he fail to substantially complete work under this contract within the time specified hereinbefore, or such later date as may result from an authorized extension of time, he will pay to Owner, as liquidated damages, the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each succeeding calendar day, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays included, that the terms of the contract remain unfulfilled, which sum is agreed upon as the proper measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain per diem by failure of undersigned to complete the work by the time stipulated, and this sum is not to be construed as, in any sense, a penalty. Bid shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a BID BOND or certified check in the amount of (5%) five percent of the BASE BID, if bid is over $35,000.00 PERFORMANCE BOND AND LABOR AND MATERAIL PAYMENT BOND is required, for (100%) one hundred percent of the contract amount. if bid over $35,000.00. The SBE Program applies to CCPRC's procurement programs for construction projects at or above $25,000.00 through the prime contractor and/or prime and subcontractor relationship. The goal for this project is 10%. List all SBE subcontractors from the Charleston County website on the attached Subcontractor Data Form and return with Invitation for Bid (IFB) submittal, Attachment 1-H. The last day and time for submittal of written questions shall be no later than 2:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday January 12, 2022. All questions pertaining to the bid documents shall be referred by e-mail prcprocurement@ccprc.com. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all Bids, reject a Bid not accompanied by a required bid security or by other data required by the Bidding Documents, or reject a Bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular.
