Award amount is $4,474,913.13** This project provides for the roadway, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements of Witherspoon Street between Nassau Street (NJSH Rt. 27) and a point approximately 100 LF north of Green Street. The principal items of work consist of the following: Excavation, Unclassified; DGABC; Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course; Hot Mix Asphalt 19.5M64 Base Course; Concrete Paver Sidewalk; Concrete Paver Roadway; Porous Concrete Paver Sidewalk, Traffic Signal Foundations, Type SPF; Pedestrian Push Button Assemblies and related electrical work; Ductile Iron Pipe; HDPE Pipe; Reinforced Concrete Pipe; Stormwater Inlets (Type A, Type B (modified) and Type Double E); Storm Sewer Manholes; 8" VCP Sanitary Sewer Main; Sanitary Sewer Lateral Video Inspection, Sanitary Sewer Lateral Replacement, HMA Driveway; Cast Iron Detectable Warning Surface; Concrete Sidewalk; Concrete Vertical Curb; Street Trees, Shrubs and Bushes; Traffic Marking Lines and Symbols; and other miscellaneous work. The project must be substantially completed in three hundred and thirty-four (334) calendar days. The entire project must be completed in three hundred and sixty-five (365) calendar days. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check or bid bond of an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00, payable to the Municipality of Princeton and a Consent of Surety. The surety shall be bound to furnish performance and payment bonds as required in the "Instructions to Bidders".
