Project no - 1956.0 The Project Scope generally includes complete removal and replacement of existing shingle roofing and EPDM roofing materials, and replacement with new insulated shingle and PVC roofing systems including, but not limited to: nail boards, cover boards, rigid insulation, high-temperature ice and water shield underlayment, vapor barrier, and associated treated wood blocking, decking and metal flashings; zinc-coated copper box gutters, and associated scuppers, flashing, and fasciae, storm drains and risers; temporary removal and reinstallation of mechanical and electrical equipment to accommodate reroofing work; new insulated roof dormer window; masonry work for roof counter flashings; and miscellaneous interior slab/ceiling work to accommodate roof installation. Alternates include an upgrade to the roof structure attachments, and replacement of the existing lightning protection system. General Bid Deadline 2/2/22 Time 2:00 P.M. Design Participation: Combined MBE/WBE goal of (17.9%) Construction Participation: Combined MBE/WBE goal of (10.4%) The work under the Contract consists of the Roof Replacement at the Teaticket Elementary School, 45 Maravista Avenue Ext, East Falmouth, Massachusetts, including but not limited to: a. The complete removal of the existing roof materials (shingle and EPDM), associated underlayments and metal flashings/roof edge, wet/deteriorated decking where indicated, hazardous material abatement where indicated, copper box gutter and drains, and complete replacement with new insulated shingle and PVC roof systems, zinc-coated copper box gutters, flashings, and perimeter fascia. b. Removal and replacement of existing box gutter drains, and where indicated removal and replacement of existing storm risers and underslab connections. c. Masonry work to accommodate new through-wall and counter flashing at increased roof thicknesses. d. Removal of existing dormer window and replacement with new insulated window. e. Temporary removal and replacement of miscellaneous electrical items. f. Temporary removal and raised reinstallation of mechanical exhausts, ducts, flues, and equipment including applicable power feeds,equipment. New equipment where indicated. g. Extension of roof plumbing venting h. Interior slab and ceiling work as related to base contract roof installation. i. Alternates which include structural upgrade to the roof attachments, and complete replacement of the existing roof lightning protection system.
