Renovation of a water / sewer project in Salem, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Project no- WQ-22-02 The Western Virginia Water Authority seeks bids from responsible contractors to provide construction of a new 1,000 kW diesel-powered standby generator at the Spring Hollow Water Treatment Facility (WTF) to replace the existing natural gas generator at the Spring Hollow WTF to replace the existing natural gas generator. The project includes electrical updates to the switchgear equipment, electrical connections to the existing Post Treatment Building, and tie-ins to the existing transformer. The project includes demolition of the existing generator pad, construction of a new generator pad, and site work at the proposed generator location. All questions and technical inquiries must be submitted in writing to the Owner's primary contact, Dana Hargrove (email Dana.Hargrove@WesternVaWater.org). A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements. Article 6 of the General Conditions, as may be modified by the Supplementary Conditions, sets forth Owner's requirements as to performance and payment bonds, other required bonds (if any), and insurance. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by required bonds and insurance documentation.
