Q&A deadline: 01/13/2022 11:00 AM County(s): Douglas Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Services for US 395 and State Route 759 US-395 in Douglas County has had several issues identified including areas of roadway erosion, needing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) updates, and hydraulic and safety issues. Additionally, legislation now requires the DEPARTMENT to install a trunk line on all new projects to help ensure fiber is available in rural areas of Nevada. The installation of this line will potentially conflict with several utilities. Project SPF-395-1(037), in association with EA 74375, has been assigned to address these issues. Due to the scoping of the project, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is necessary to identify the exact horizontal and vertical locations of all underground utility facilities within the Project limits. The Project's Scope of Services includes: mill and overlay to eliminate current eroded pavement, install lighting and sign updates for signals and lighting throughout the project limits, execute various safety improvements throughout, execute various hydraulic improvements throughout, execute various ADA improvements, and install a trunk line under the roadbed, consisting of two (2) 4" conduits and one (1) 3" conduit to be used for future DEPARTMENT and private utility company fiber.
