Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Lawnes Creek Landing Reconstruction at Surry County, VA. The project is generally described as demolition of existing FRP walls, FRP piles and bollards as well as installation of aluminum pier, aluminum handrails, timber piles and two (2) steel sheet pile walls. Associated site work including but not limited to accessible parking, parking striping and concrete walkway is also included in the project. Due to Anadromous fish time of year restrictions, marine/in-water construction is NOT permitted prior to June 30, 2022. The earliest a Notice-to-Proceed for commencing construction for all upland/non-marine work will be Tuesday, May 30, 2022. A Bid Bond is required. A non-refundable shipping charge of $50 per set is required for all sets requiring shipment. A pre-bid conference will NOT be held for this project. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. All executive branch agencies are directed to advance Executive Order 35, dated July 3, 2019.
