The Village of Lakeview (OWNER) is seeking a qualified contractor to conduct tree removal, select pruning, and stump grinding operations within the Village of Lakeview. The list of the trees to be cut or pruned is attached. The trees will also be marked. The trees with orange paint are the ones to be cut. The ones with yellow paint are to be trimmed. Tree Removal: Remove approximately twenty (20) medium-large diameter trees. All wood four inch (4") in diameter or smaller will be chipped and removed from site. Remaining wood will be cut not longer than eight feet (8') in length to be stacked and left on site. Public Works will remove the wood. All reasonable care must be taken to avoid damage to public or private property. All limbs, brush, saw dust, bark, etc... will be cleaned up and removed from site by the contractor. Bid to reflect cost per crew hour to include all labor and equipment to accomplish tree removal. Stump/Root Removal: For every tree that is removed the stump and exposed roots also shall be removed by grinding. Stump/roots will be removed six inches (6") below the established surrounding grade. Debris may be left on site to be removed by Public Works. Public Works will also restore soil and seed these locations. Bid for stump removal for the twenty (20) trees cut. Tree Pruning: Prune approximately eight (8) trees. The pruning will consist of only dead wood or damaged limbs and will be conducted very selectively. Contractor to chip and remove all limbs and branches from site. Bid to reflect cost per crew hour to include all labor and equipment to accomplish the pruning. Please list the crew hour make-up such as, personnel and equipment per crew hour. Contractor to enclose with bid proposal, a copy of current liability, workers compensation insurance, and five (5) references for previous work done. The Village will review the proposals and may or may not award a contract at the regular Council meeting on April 12, 2022. Work may begin as soon as contract is awarded and must be complete by August 31st , 2022. The actual working schedule will be mutually agreed to by Public Works and Contractor.
