The Ministry requires up to twelve weather stations with the following sensors: ambient temperature (maximum and minimum), rainfall/precipitation, leaf wetness, soil temperature and relative humidity, wind speed and direction. Weather stations will be utilized to develop and implement pest and pathogen disease forecasting and monitoring systems for Southwest Ontario field crops, fruit and vegetable growers. Necessary weather station features include ease of set-up and the durability to withstand all-season weather conditions in the Ontario climate. The stations must be able to transmit weather data remotely with cell coverage that is reliable in rural areas. Weather stations are required by March 15, 2022 to be delivered to 1 Stone Road West, Guelph, Ontario. Documents can be obtained from https://ontariotenders.app.jaggaer.com
