Demolition, site work and renovation of a residential development in Slaton, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for the renovation of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Housing Authority of the City of Slaton, Texas (hereinafter called the will receive sealed bids for a single construction contract for the dwelling unit renovation including demolition and all work specified and/or shown on the drawings A. The PHA's Representative will assist the Contractor with interpretation of the Contractual documents, maintain checks during construction for compliance with contractual documents, and assist the Contractor with solutions to problems arising relative to construction of the project. B. Neither the PHA's Representative or the Architect are responsible for the Contractor's work, failure to verify existing conditions, to do the work per contract documents, and/or per applicable Governing Codes and/or requirements. C. The Contractor is responsible for determining the safety of existing structures before allowing personnel on and/or within those buildings. D. The PHA's Representative shall report any non-compliance to the PHA's Contracting Officer and assist the Contracting Officer with checking pay requests and materials stored, as well as maintain construction progress reports. The Contractor will maintain "As-Built" record drawings and other duties required and directed by the Contracting Officer. E. The Contracting Officer submits corrections of non-compliance requests to the Contractor and approves changes or deviations from plans and specifications that may be necessary or desired. F. The Contracting Officer makes final acceptance of all materials and workmanship contained in the finished project.
