Site work for a road / highway in Urbana, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
For construction of a materials bin with a concrete slab and bin block walls. The proposed materials bin shall consist of a concrete slab-on-grade with concrete bin block walls on three sides of the slab, and the west side of the bin shall be open. When constructed, the materials bin shall have interior plan dimensions measuring 36' deep (measured perpendicular to the open side) by 24' wide (measured parallel to the open side), and the outside plan dimensions of the slab shall measure 36' deep by 24' wide. A granular subbase shall support the slab and the bin blocks, and the outside plan dimensions of the slab shall measure 38' deep by 28' wide. The top of the slab shall be at least 2" above existing grade, and the slab shall have a 0.5% (1/16" per 1') slope draining toward the west. The final grading along the north, east, and south sides of the materials bin shall match the top of slab and slope down to existing ground to drain away from the bin. The final grading along the west side shall match existing grade or shall be graded as required to accommodate the Scope of Work by Urbana Public Works.
