Marathon County Facilities and capital Management is requesting proposals from qualified firms for modernization of (3) elevators at UWSP at Wausau Campus, 518 South 7th Avenue Wausau Wiscosnin. The existing elevators are obsolete. The modernization will include but is not limited to the replacement of obsolete electronic controllers, hydraulic pumps and valves, door operators, hoist way devices and car controls. The elevator Scope of Work includes - new soft starter, new power unit, valve, automatic self-leveling, controller, one care operation, independent service, special emergency service in compliance with ASME/ANSI A17.1, Inspection Operation, Applied Car Operating Panel, Phone, Care indicator position, In car direction lanterns, hall buttons, hall position indicator, hoist way operating devices, closures, pit switch, ladder, and toe guard. and door operators. Refurbished items include car roller guides, interlocks. Retained items include the car frame, platform and flooring, care enclosure, doors, door hanger, hoist way doors, entrances, and door closures. All high and low voltage wiring by others. Additional work with Fire Alarms by others. Car interior will be an option, not included in base price. Marathon County reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any and all proposals; to waive any technical deficiencies in the proposals; to accept the proposal and award final contract to the responsible offeror determined to be the most advantageous to Marathon County. The contract shall be awarded in accordance with the terms and conditions of sections 3.05 (2) (g) and 3.10 of the Marathon County procurement code. This solicitation may be canceled if doing so is determined to be in the best interests of Marathon County. Upon award of the contract, all submitted documents become subject to the Open Records Law of the State of Wisconsin. The General Code of the County of Marathon contains various procurement policies which are applicable to this proposed procurement. These include prohibitions against gratuities and kickbacks.
