The Corporation of the City of Welland (City) is seeking proposals from qualified proponents for the supply of Geotechnical Investigation Services and Geotechnical Construction Services for the City of Welland's 2022 and 2023 capital works design and construction projects, with a mutual option to extend the contract in 2024 and again in 2025. Extension of this contract is not guaranteed. The City reserves the right to enter into a contract with any of the consultants for any one or more of the calendar years. The Geotechnical Investigation services are for fieldwork and laboratory work as it pertains to boreholes, rock probes, auger holes and soil sampling for the City's roads, buildings and other construction projects. The City constructs over $15 million in Capital Works each year and accordingly requires testing services from Geotechnical Consultants that includes, but is not limited to; field tests, laboratory tests and sampling of materials for municipal road, sewer, water and other construction projects. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
