ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Greenfield Exempted Village School District, 200 North 5th Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123, will accept sealed BIDS for a new "Transportation Garage and Practice Fields Project" located at 750 McClain Avenue, Greenfield, Ohio 45123. These BIDS will be received at Greenfield Exempted Village Schools administration offices 200 North Fifth Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123, until 1:00 p.m. local time, February 17, 2021. The bids will be opened and read aloud at that time. The WORK entails improvements to the existing practice fields and the construction of a new pre-engineered steel building to be used as a bus garage and maintenance facility.One bid will be received for all work ("work") as described in the Contract Documents and work will be completed in two phases. Subject to the right of the OWNER to reject any and all bids and as provided below. The OWNER will award a single contract all work listed above. Bidders must furnish all information requested on or accompanying the bid proposal. Failure to do so may result in disqualification of the bid. Each BID must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside as "GREENFIELD EXEMPTED VILLAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT - NEW TRANSPORTATION GARAGE AND PRACTICE FIELDS PROJECT BID, 750 McClain Avenue, Greenfield, Ohio 45123." Contract Documents will be available starting Friday January 7, 2022. Copies of the Contract Documents consisting of the plans and specifications and items of work, the proposal and contract forms may be obtained at the office of the ARCHITECT/ENGINEER, McCarty Associates, LLC, 213 North High Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133, Phone: (937) 393-9971, Fax: (937) 393-2480. Documents may be obtained electronically or in paper format. To obtain documents electronically, interested parties must be placed on the Plan Holder's List by completing a Plan Holder's List Application as provided by the Architect. For paper copies of the bidding documents, interested parties must complete the Plan Holder's List Application and pay a nonrefundable charge of $250.00 plus $20.00 shipping & handling for each set so requested. Each proposal shall be signed by the full name and business address of each person or company interested in bidding, and shall be accompanied by a surety bond by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, or by a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit from a solvent bank, all in accordance with ORC 153.571. The bid guaranty bond shall be for the full amount of the bid and the certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit shall be equal to a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the submitted proposal and made payable to Greenfield Exempted Village School District. Proposals accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit will require a subsequent contract performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, as it relates to bid guarantees, conditions, liabilities, and withdrawal of a bid are pertinent to this contract. The proposal must be made on the forms provided therefore in the contract documents, or a copy thereof, with a price quoted for the work. Bus Garage - 240 Days from the date of the Notice of Commencement The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined in the Modified General Conditions, within 15 calendar days of the Date of Substantial Completion The only acceptable bond forms are the preceding Bid Guaranty & Contract Bond or the following Contract Bond. he project site is located immediately southeast of the intersection of Eighth Street and McClain street in Greenfield, Highland County, Ohio. The proposed project consists of the design and construction of a new building, below grade, pre-cast concrete, storm water detention chamber, along with associated pavements for parking and entrance/exit drives. The proposed building will have an approximate footprint of about 19,675 square feet. Structural column loads have not been determined but CTL anticipates the maximum loads will be on the order of 100 kips.
