The purpose of this ITB is to upgrade the generators electrical controls of the Fourth Avenue Building. Base Bid: Reference the Glumac drawings and specifications along with additional documentation found in this ITB for details about this scope of work. Demolish existing medium voltage controls and replace with new. FAB's standby generator will be replaced in the future and the new medium voltage control system shall have provisions to support the future replacement. Contractor shall provide all commissioning of the new control system that is fully functional and meets project requirements. Portions of the commissioning and start up activities of the system will need to include PSU and PGE assistance. Provide new medium voltage conductors to/from the existing 2.7 MW generator and existing 4160-12.47 kV transformer. Existing conduit and pathways remain. Impacts to the building's operations, like power shut downs, can only occur during one of the two-time frames below. In addition, all start up and commissioning activities shall be completed within these timeframes. If these dates are unable to be accommodated, PSU and the awarded contractor can discuss alternative timeframes. The contractor shall be prepared to work off hours to limit impacts to the building occupants: Saturday 03/19/22 at 8:00 AM to Sunday 03/27/22 at 8:00 PM Saturday 06/18/22 at 8:00 AM to Sunday 06/26/22 at 8:00 PM As a part of their logistics plans the contractor shall provide a shutdown sequence/plan to the owner for review and approval. The contractor shall stage their work in an effort to keep as many electrical loads active as possible by utilizing the building's double ended switchgear, single ended switchgear and tie breakers. Also included in this is a plan to restore building power in the event of a building feeder being de-energized during this work.
