The work shall include providing landscape installation, site preparation, herbicide application, mulching, mowing and litter removal, irrigation, and a two (2) year Landscape Establishment Period. Prior to beginning work under this Contract, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval, two copies of the Contractor's proposed plan and methods for performing the work, including a listing of equipment and personnel anticipated for use. No U-turns shall be permitted as a condition of this Contract, except at Service Plazas. No Pre-bid Conference Will Be Held for This Project. Contractor Experience Documentation: Expertise and Experience Is Required in the Performance of Landscaping. The Experience in Landscaping Form (850-070-09) Must Be Filled Out and Submitted to Be Reviewed by the Department. If a Contractor Is Presently Prequalified With the Department in Landscaping, It Is Not Necessary to Submit the Form. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
