Site work for a water / sewer project in Saddle Lake, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

BLMS WTP Upgrades will include work related to its raw water pump station, raw water aeration system, its hypochlorite dosing system and general mechanical/process improvements and repairs. Work of this Contract comprises of the following: .1 Raw Water Pump Station – Replacement of one raw water pump motor (2.2kW (3HP) 1750 RPM/600V/3P). The contractor will be required to remove one raw water pump and deliver to EC &M. EC&M to service the raw water pump. Once service of pump is complete the contractor will collect the pump and deliver to site (BLMS WTP), where the pump will be kept as a shelf spare. .2 Raw Water Aeration System – Provide assistance and coordination of installation of the aeration system (supplied and installed by Nexom). Contractor to provide periphery support (i.e interconnecting pipework and electrical items) to ensure complete install of aeration system. The contractor is required to provide 3 phase power at the blower building. Installation and commissioning of the new aeration system should be scheduled to minimize disruption to the WTP operations. .3 Hypochlorite Dosing – Installation and commissioning of a second chlorine dosing point. The dosing point will be installed on the treated water distribution pipework. The scope will include the integration of the primary and second dosing point operation. Refer to section 43 32 69.1. .4 Redundant equipment - Remove all redundant chemical dosing pipework identified in the drawings. Relocate, install, and commission the sulphuric acid dosing system next to the poly dosing system. Remove all remaining Potassium permanganate and polymer dosing equipment as per drawing 15599 PR 01. .5 Reservoir vents - Extend four reservoir vents to the outside of the WTP building. The exist four vents that currently provides ventilation for the treated water reservoir at the WTP currently terminate on the main floor of the plant. The vents should be modified, extended up through the roof and terminated outside the building. The details of the vents are shown on drawings 15599 D 01, 15599 PR 01 and the extension should be field fitted (to be approved by engineer) to avoid clashes with current installed equipment and pipework. .6 Distribution pumps- Installation of VFDs and new control panel for the distribution pumps. Change distribution pumps’ motors from single phase to 3 phase. Replacement of 2 distribution pump (Refer to section 43 24 12). .7 Recirculation line - Installation of a recirculation line at the WTP distribution pumps. Refer to drawing 15599 PR 01, 15599 PR 02 and 15599 PR 03.
