Renovation of a detention facility in Columbus, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to OFCC Procurement at procurement@ofcc.ohio.gov with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please). Questions will be answered and posted to the Opportunities page on the OFCC portal. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) is responsible for the management of both the Franklin Medical Center (FMC) and the London Correctional Institute (LOCI). Due to changes in staffing renovations to both facilities is needed, to include: FMC: Renovation of the administration building to serve as office space for OCS staff Increase parking area to accommodate staff assigned Include both an indoor and outdoor meeting space Demolition of dorms LOCI: Renovation of restrooms and office space to meet ADA and occupancy requirements Improvements to the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression, security, and IT infrastructure will be required to accommodate the renovated use. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, the selected A/E will provide the following categories of Basic Services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, GMP Proposal and Amendment Support, Subcontractor Buyout Support, Construction Administration, and Project Closeout. Additional Services will include programming, and construction testing and inspection services. Upon award of the Agreement, the selected A/E will commence by developing the Program of Requirements. The selected A/E shall also provide any other Additional Services needed to address the Owner's project requirements. This project will utilize the Construction Manager at Risk project delivery method. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposal, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the Owner's project requirements and the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. The selected A/E will also participate in the Encouraging Growth, Diversity & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. Total Project Cost: $8,100,000.00 Professional Services Start: 03 / 22 Construction Notice to Proceed: 06 / 22 Substantial Completion of all Work: 03 / 23 Professional Services Completed: 05 / 23 EDGE Participation Goal: 7%
