Audio Visual (AV) Contractors are hereby invited to submit their credentials to pre-qualify for the supply and installation of AV equipment at the Hazel McCallion Central Library. It is the City's intent that up to six (6) top ranked respondents will be pre-qualified to bid on this project in an upcoming RFT process. Background: The Hazel McCallion Central Library (the Central Library) is located at 301 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W, Mississauga. It is the largest library in Mississauga, and it is currently undergoing a major renovation. The renovated library will include the following: - Makerspaces; - Sound studio; - Meeting/Conference Rooms; - Video game room; - Boardroom; - Amphitheatre Objectives: The City of Mississauga (the City) has identified a need for the supply and installation of AV equipment for the Central Library as it undergoes its major renovation. It is the City's intent to short-list experienced AV Contractors to submit bids in an upcoming RFT to the complete the renovation. Scope: The scope of work will include providing AV contracting services for the supply and installation of fully operational audio visual systems and custom components as required. The scope also includes commissioning, testing and training of all installed AV equipment and accessories. The renovation project is currently in construction and the AV design is in the tender document phase. The consultant for the AV work is Novita Techne Limited.
