The Corporation of the City of Mississauga ("the City") is seeking the Services from up to four (4) qualified vendors for watering and rejuvenation Services for newly planted City-owned trees. These Services will focus on tree maintenance and improving the Site conditions for newly planted trees throughout the City's urban forest. Services will include weeding, cultivation, fertilization, pruning, watering, and soil amendment. It is anticipated that approximately 20,600 street trees will be watered over the Contract term: Approximately 8,200 in summer-fall of 2022; approximately 7,200 in summer-fall of 2023 and approximately 5,150 in summer-fall 2024. It is also anticipated that approximately 11,330 street trees will be rejuvenated over the Contract term: Approximately 4,180 trees in the fall 2022; approximately 4,060 trees in fall 2023 and about 3,150 trees in the fall of 2024. To be considered, each Bidder must be able to demonstrate that: - They are readily available to undertake Contract requirements; - They have been in the business of horticulture and/or landscaping services for a minimum of the last five(5) years; - They have been operating under the same company name for at least the last three (3) years; - They have relevant experience (with contracts of comparable size, scope and complexity) with a minimum of one municipal or public agency contract successfully completed or in process (within the last three years); - They have sufficient staff (including dedicated crews and administrative staff) and capacity to properly service and administer the Contract, with a minimum of four (4) full time staff, a minimum of two (2) Supervisors and two (2) Labourers; - Supervisory staff assigned to the City's Contract have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in horticulture.
