Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Invermere, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The proposed contract is for the construction of a parking area for the Swansea Mountain recreation trailhead. This requires the cutting of timber, removal of stumps, leveling of the surface, capping with gravel, and placing barrier rocks around the parking lot perimeter. There are two phases for parking lot expansion. This contract is for Phase 1. Phase 1 will accommodate 50 vehicles. 70m x 32m is the finished parking area. There will be a 125m road constructed to the new parking lot. The parking lot and road will be capped with gravel. The province will pay for the gravel separately. Timber is for the Akisqnuk First Nation for firewood. Wood is to be delivered to 2461 Kootenay #3 Road. Installation of the vault toilet should not be included in your bid price. If the timing of the toilet installation coincides with the project, any additional machine time or gravel will be paid separately. Installation of barrier rocks is required in place of the fencing proposed in the Mount Swansea Parking Area Report. The province will provide the rock, but the contractor is responsible for installation. A detailed layout of the parking area and road is provided in Appendix 1: Mount Swansea Parking Area Report. Work for this phase of the project must be complete by April 30, 2022 and trees must be felled prior to April 1, 2022. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
