No in-person bids will be accepted., for the Palo Corona Regional Park (PCRP) Backcountry Perimeter Fencing Project as described in the general project description on page 3 of the bid packet. The work to be done consists, in general, of the following, Palo Corona Backcountry Fencing consists of removing old barbwire fencing and installing new wildlife friendly fencing. Bidders shall possess, at a minimum, A contractor license, and proof of Department of Industrial Relations registration at the time of bid opening. A bidder's bond issued by an admitted corporate surety company in an amount equal to at least ten percent of the amount bid must accompany the bid. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. NOTE: Bidders will guarantee their submitted bid prices for 90-days. NOTE: Amendments and Addenda will be posted on the district ProcureNow portal. Prospective bidders are encouraged to check regularly and before their final bids are submitted. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations and are available from the California Department of Industrial Relations, and accessed online at www.dir.ca.gov. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 or the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code (Joint Venture bids) or Public Contract Code Section 10164 or 20103.5 (federally funded projects), provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the Contractor may substitute securities for any moneys withheld by the District to ensure performance under the contract. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
