This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future procurement, construction, costing and phasing options and requirements for Shoreline Restoration Project In Wascana Centre. The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) is planning to complete a pilot project to enhance the water quality and shoreline conditions on Wascana Lake east of Broad Street, in Regina, Saskatchewan. The goal of the project is to improve the quality of the lake water through natural environmental solutions as well as improve the marsh shoreline by extending the wetland shelf a maximum of ten (10) metres into the lake creating a shelf that is between 0.3m and 0.9m deep. This shelf would then be planted (by others) with emergent vegetation that would filter the water as it flows through the marsh. The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement requests an expression of interest, project total and/or detailed costs, proposed project schedule and phasing options from qualified contractors, as well as identified challenges and constraints with the attached specifications and engineering designs.
