Renovation of a swimming pool in Douglas, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The City of Douglas is requesting bids from qualified licensed Contractors for the renovations to the existing HVAC system at the Douglas Aquatic Center, 1551 E 15th ST. Douglas, AZ. This work falls under the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended (40 U.S.C. 276a to a-7) and that contractor shall supply the City of Douglas with certified payroll documentation. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts will apply to contractors and subcontractors performing construction, alteration, or repair with federally funded or assisted contracts $2,000 or more. Under this Act, contractors shall be required to pay wages specified in a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. In addition, contractors shall be required to pay wages not less than once a week. A current copy of the prevailing wage will be attached and contractor shall attach a copy of the prevailing wage to bid proposal. The award of contract shall be conditioned upon the acceptance of the wage determination. The Council reserves the right to reject any Proposal, defer action on Proposals and to waive informality thereof. Any late submissions will be returned to the sender.
