Renovation of a museum in Mission, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The City of Mission requests Submissions from interested parties who wish to be pre-qualified as bidders for an anticipated procurement related to Mission Museum Heritage Building Exterior Revitalization. The City anticipates the scope of the Project to be as follows: Roof Replacement (Heritage) Installing new sawn shakes that match the profile, size, and material while conforming to current best industry practice (such as the Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC) Roof Practices Manual, and The Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau(R) Installation and Maintenance page). The project would also involve the replacement of the existing wood gutters and downspouts around the perimeter of the building. The new roof assembly would require a service life of up to 40 years with a well implemented routine maintenance program. Wall Maintenance and Cleaning Cleaning the wall systems on all elevations and floors of the building using a low-pressure hose, brush, and cleaning solvents. High-pressure washers are not permitted.
