Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Mission, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The rehabilitation works required to this storm culvert should be in accordance with the Master Municipal Construction Documents (MMCD) section 33.05.24 Cured in Place Pipe Liners (CIPP). The repairs are for the concrete sections of culvert, not the corrugated metal inlet pipe and manhole. a) Instream works permitting and provide the scope of work required to complete the repairs, b) Street use permitting required to complete the repairs, c) Set up of a water bypass system required to complete the repairs, d) Flushing and/or cutting prior to the repairs required to remove the encrustation and roots. If required by the environmental consultant, the effluent is to be captured and not released into the water course. e) Joint grouting of 40 joints outside of the segments of culvert that need to be re-lined, f) Three cracked sections of concrete culvert need CIPP liners for the length of each crack plus two meters beyond each end. This means the first two cracked sections (at the upstream end) would probably merge into one liner about 14 meters long, from 27m to 41m, g) The third section requires a 12-meter liner, from 60m to 72m. h) The liner ends where they transition to the existing concrete pipe also must be grouted. i) Reinstate the integrity of all slopes and banks affected by the rehabilitation to eliminate future erosion if required.
