The Town of Manchester is seeking bids for the recovery, recycling and /or disposal of refrigerant, Freon, which is generated from the disposal of appliances. Appliances include, but are not limited to, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and water coolers. These appliances are generated by local sources and are disposed of at the Town Landfill located at 311 Olcott Street in Manchester. In the past twelve months approximately 800 Freon containing appliances were disposed of at this facility. This work was performed during fifteen (15) site visits within the twelve-month period. The number of appliances serviced, and quantity of Freon recovered is given for information only and is not a guarantee of work to be performed during the contract period. To determine the low bidder, the Town will use 50% of these quantities as an estimate for the twelve (12) month contract period.
