As of February 4, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is expected to start April 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Request A/E design services for pre-design through construction administration for the replacement of the steam line from Pit C to the Heating Plant including new steam pits. The A/E design team for this project shall have expertise and be well experienced in the replacement of steam lines, steam pits, and boiler repairs. Interested A/E design teams should indicate specific projects from past experience (including size, cost, and completion date) in their letters of interest and when known, include proposed consulting partners and any specialty consultants. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will replace the steam line from Pit C to the Heating Plant including new steam pits at Oakhill Correctional Institution. The existing steam lines are encased in a concrete box conduit and will be replaced with direct bury steam/condensate lines. The limits of the project will be both inside and outside of the facilities security fence.
