Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of March 30, 2022, the award amount is $1,783,022.83. The contract term is established as 600-calendar days. Contract No: MCC 7360 Plan - CICC 7360-0/08 (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work). A. Work under this Contract includes furnishing of all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment and performing all operations necessary for Intersection Improvements. B. Work includes but is not limited to, the following: Construction of Asphaltic Concrete Road base and surface; pavement removal; pavement milling; pavement markings; signage; drainage; sidewalks; concrete curb and gutter; and traffic calming devices. Incidental items required for areas such as street light, traffic signal installation, etc. may be added to this Contract. Type of Contract: Single Trade Method of Award: Lowest Responsible Bidder Method of Payment: Scheduled Monthly Payments Insurance Required: YES CWP Requirements: YES Percentage: 10.00% SBD Certificate of Assurance Form Required: YES Liquidated Damages: YES $$ Per Day: $1,690.00 Trade Set-a-side: YES If Yes, Trade = Paving Markings and Concrete Work Prior to entering into a contract and according to the Miami-Dade County Code 2-1701 and amended by Ordinance 13-66, the successful bidder on a construction contract subject to a Community Workforce Program (CWP) goal, must submit to Small Business Development (SBD) through the contracting officer a workforce plan outlining how the CWP goal will be met. Contractor must submit a Workforce Plan to the Miami-Dade County Internal Services Department, Small Business Development Division within fifteen (15) days of notification of award of the contract. The County will not enter into the contract until it receives the contractor's Workforce Plan and deems the Plan acceptable. The Workforce Plan forms may be obtained on the County's website at http://www.miamidade.gov/business/contract-requirements.asp#0 . The locations of work for this project are as follows: 1. SW 137 Ave and SW 56 Street 2. SW 67 Ave and Coral Way 3. SW 162 Ave and SW 104 Street 4. SW 137 Ave and SW 104 Street 5. Traffic Circle at Coral Way and Anderson Road The County may update this work site list subsequent to the Award of this Contract by adding, deleting, or substituting with comparable sites. The actual location(s) of work shall be identified in the Work Order(s) issued subsequent to the Award of the Contract. The combined total cost for all work authorized by the Work Order(s) shall not exceed the Contract Award amount. The Department does not guarantee that the full amount of the Contract will be issue to the Contractor. The actual amount of Work orders assigned will be the prerogative of the department in its sole discretion and dependent only upon its needs. At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and these Solicitation and Contract Documents, the Bidder must hold a valid, current, and active Certificate of Competency as a General Engineering Contractor or as a Specialty Engineering Contractor, commensurate to the requirements of the Scope of Work, in one or more engineering crafts to include Paving Engineering. The specialty contractor shall subcontract with a qualified contractor any work which is incidental to the specialty but is specified in the aforementioned Code as being the work of other than that of the Engineering Specialty for which certified; or Pursuant to Section 255.20, Florida Statues (F.S.) and in lieu of the above, the County may consider a bid from a Bidder that is a duly licensed Contractor in good standing that has been prequalified and considered eligible by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under Section 337.14, F.S. and Chapter 14-2, Florida Administrative Code, to perform the work described in the Contract Documents. Contractors seeking consideration under this Paragraph shall submit along with the Bid Documents for review and consideration, current copy(ies) of their FDOT Certificate(s) of Qualification, Certification of Work Underway, and Status of Contract(s) On Hand. Acceptance FDOT prequalification(s) necessary to perform the work specified in the Project's Scope of Work shall include the Flexible Paving work class. The Contractor shall furnish Certificates of Insurance to the County prior to commencing any operations under this Contract. The certificates shall clearly indicate that the Contractor has obtained insurance, in the type, amount and classification required by these Contract Documents. EXPERIENCE: 1. The Bidder must demonstrate that it has full-time personnel with the necessary experience to perform the Project's Scope of Work. This experience shall include work in successfully completed projects performed by the identified personnel whose bulk of work performed in the Public Right-of-Way is similar in detail to the Project's Scope of Work described in these Solicitation Documents. INDEMNIFICATION AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS The Contractor shall furnish to Department of Transportation and Public Works, 111 NW 1 Street, Miami Florida 33128, Certificate(s) of Insurance which indicate that insurance coverage has been obtained which meets the requirements as outlined below: A. Worker's Compensation Insurance for all employees of the Contractor as required by Florida Statute 440. Commercial General Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, and $2,000,000 in the aggregate, not to exclude Products and Completed Operations. Miami-Dade County must be shown as an additional insured with respect to this coverage. B. Automobile Liability Insurance covering all owned, non-owned and hired vehicles used in connection with the work, in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. C. Umbrella Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $3,000,000 per occurrence, and $3,000,000 in the aggregate. a. If Excess Liability is provided must be follow form for coverage's B and C.
