Description: The purpose of this project is to renovate the existing building at 100 Carleton Avenue in East Islip for the use of Exchange Ambulance of the [slips and the Town of Islip, including comprehensive interior renovation, new utilities, MEP systems and site improvements. The project shall include removal and Installation of interior and exterior wiring, conduits, outlets, lighting fixtures and electrical equipment. Installation of fire alarm system, building wide IT/data/security systems, emergency generator and all associated components and primary electric service Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to the Town of Islip. No bid will be accepted by email or facsimile_ No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of bids not properly labeled or sealed. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, to waive any formality and/or informality in any or all bids and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town after all bids have been examined and checked. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or at least two are not received the Department of Purchase is authorized to re-advertise for bids.
