Renovation of a municipal facility in Independence, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of 02/10/2022 This project has not been awarded. Will be accepting competitive sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors to create a new exterior door and interior kitchen separation wall and upgrade existing handicap accessible egress of the Grayson County GATE Center. Scope of Work Site: Grayson County GATE Center 122 Davis Street Independence, VA 24348 A. New Exterior Door (conference room) (Attached) Remove Existing window, brick and sealant. Protect concrete walk and floor slabs from damage See attached architectural drawings dated November 2, 2021 for details Note: Paint new brick and CMU at jambs to match existing adjacent surfaces B. Interior Kitchen separation wall: Provide new wall construction to include a new 6 panel wood door and frame to match existing adjacent doors See attached architectural drawings dated November 2, 2021 for details C. Existing handicap accessible egress (near restrooms at kitchen): Provide new exit device (panic bar) at this door, modify existing hardware as necessary (see attached drawings dated November 2, 2021 for door location) Substantial Completion on the project within 60 __ consecutive calendar days of notice to proceed. The Owner reserves the right to require payment and/or performance bonds in the amount of the Contract for any other Contracts, whether or not required by such sections of the Code.
