Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Westerville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award the contracts to the lowest responsible bidders. The Work consists of: Renovations & additions to Whittier Elementary School-Phase 1. Renovations to Hawthorne Elementary School-Phase 1 All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of a bidder. 1. Bid Package 1: Renovations and Addition to Whittier ES a. Single Prime Contract: The work consists of labor, material, equipment, installation and supervision of all work described in documentsincluding but not limited to the following: 1) Base Bid: Single Prime Contract including General Trades, Mechanical (HVAC & Plumbing-including Fire Suppression), Electrical including Fire Alarm and Technology. Note fire suppression is existing. It will need to be modified at renovated areas and extended into the addition. 2) Alternate 1.1: Sound Reinforcement System in rooms 107, 119, 121, 123 and 124. 3) Alternate 1.2: Acoustical metal deck in lieu of regular metal deck and sound absorbing ceiling units in Corridor C100B and Room 124. 4) Alternate 1.3: Mop sink replacement in rooms 118, 131, 140 and 148. 5) Alternate 1.4: RGB Cove lights (Fixtures CA) in room 119. 6) Alternate 1.5: Replacement of RTU-8 7) Alternate 1.6: APC-3 in lieu of APC-1 in corridor C100B and room 101-partial. 2. Bid Package 2: Renovations to Hawthorne ES a. It will need to be modified at renovated areas. 2) Alternate 2.1: Store front windows in the Student Dining area 3) Alternate 2.2: Sound reinforcement system in rooms 102, 104, 108, 110 and 125 4) Alternate 2.3: Kiln Replacement in Art room 5) Alternate 2.4: Skylight Replacement 6) Alternate 2.5: Walk Off Carpeting in lieu of Resilient Tile Flooring in Corridors/Entries 7) Alternate 2.6: Light Fixtures MC2 and MC3 in corridor 002 8) Alternate 2.7: Replace Heating Hot Water Boiler and pump and domestic hot water heater, including allsystem piping modifications and valve replacements in basement mechanical room. 1. Board Meeting/Award Resolution: 3/14/22. 2. Sites is available for Construction start: 5/26/22. 3. Substantial Completion Date: 7/28/2023. 4. Closeout Complete: 8/28/2023.
