All work to be performed will be subject to the approval of the Project by the City, as recommended by the Department of Capital Asset Construction (DCAC) and the Information Technology Department (ITD), and further subject to adequate funding authorized by the Owner. The City of Springfield is seeking the services of a qualified "Engineer" with the meaning of M.G.L. Chapter 7C, Section 1, to provide professional engineering and project management services for the ongoing construction of a fiber optic network in the City of Springfield, Massachusetts. There is presently a fiber optic plant in place that will be expanded by and estimated 100+ locations (approximately 20 miles). The estimated cost of the project is $2,000,000.00, and the Engineer/Designer fee will be set not to exceed 250,000.00. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
