General Construction, Plumbing, Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and Electrical, at the Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology, Project No. 3681, as described in the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Murray Associates Architects, P.C. The Project consists of a demolition of existing instructional toilet rooms and corridor for new toilet rooms at Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology Project. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will be responsible for any oral instructions. Bidder shall carefully examine the contract documents, visit the site of the work, and include in his bid a sum to cover the cost of all items included in the contract. Prevailing minimum wages determined in accordance with the Labor and Industry shall be paid to workmen employed on this project. Submit bids on the form provided; fill all blank spaces. State numbers in words and figures; write signatures longhand. The completed form shall be without interlineation, alteration or erasure. Deposit as security with each bid a certified check, bank treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond for at least 10% of the base bid, payable to the Owner. Checks will be returned to all except the 3 lowest bidders within 3 days; and to others when contracts have been executed. The remaining checks will be returned within 48 hours after the Owner and the accepted bidder have executed the contract, and the executed Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds have been approved by the Owner. A bidder who fails to execute and deliver the contract within 60 days after receiving notice of award, together with certificates of insurance and bond forms as required, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure, the security deposited with his bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after receipt of bids, except as may be provided by law. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in making awards. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
