The selected, experienced and qualified consulting firms will be tasked to provide on-call professional services for communications/outreach, regulatory, and operational support and technical support for fieldwork and sampling for Valley Water's Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Professional and Technical Services (Project). The Proposer will provide the services as described in this Preliminary Scope of Services.
Scope of Services :
A. The objective of this Agreement for on-call Services is for Consultant to perform On-Call, as-needed professional services for communications/outreach, regulatory, and operational support and technical support for fieldwork and sampling to be performed by Consultant for Valley Water's Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Professional and Technical Services (Project). Project Objectives A. The Santa Clara Valley Water District (Valley Water) implements a number of capital and operational projects and programs to meet its mission and goals in water supply, flood protection and watershed stewardship. The on-call services provided pursuant to this Agreement will augment the services of Valley Water staff and provide additional professional services as needed. B. The objectives of this on-call professional services agreement include:
1) Consultant to develop communications plan, messaging, and materials related to PFAS in local, imported, treated, and surface water as well as groundwater (i.e., monitoring wells, supply wells, and/or domestic wells). 2) Consultant to provide on-call professional support for Valley Water's PFAS response, such as source investigations, regulatory impact interpretation, treatment studies, forensic investigations, and stormwater studies. 3) Consultant to provide technical support to conduct on-call fieldwork for groundwater, surface water, or other sampling efforts. C. All Services required pursuant to this Agreement will be provided only on an as-needed/as-requested basis by the issuance of an authorized Task Order by the Valley Water to the Consultant. A project scope will be developed for each task order, including deliverables for a total not-to-exceed amount. No work will be performed without a task order.
