Hickpochee Avenue LaBelle, Florida 33935 The Hendry County BOCC desires to provide and improve drainage infrastructure for the Four Corners MSBU in Hendry County, Florida. The purpose of the County Line Ditch Improvements project in the Four Corners MSBU is to provide additional storage and conveyance for storm water to the Caloosahatchee River during large storm events. As part of these improvements, two (2) weir structures consisting of vinyl sheet piles with a concrete cap are proposed along with a shell maintenance drive north of CR78. Hendry County is seeking bids from qualified bidders, hereinafter referred to as the Bidder or Contractor, to provide construction services in connection with the proposed Phase 1 improvements to the County Line Ditch Four Corners flow-way at the intersection of CR78 and the Hendry/Lee County line. This project is grant funded by the Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program. Hendry County owns a 330-foot wide swath of land abutting the Hendry/Lee County Line in fee simple that extends from the north right-of-way line of CR78 north to the Hendry/Glades County Line. The County also owns a 140-foot wide drainage easement that abuts the Hendry/Lee County line and extends from the south right-of-way line of CR78 south to the Army Corps of Engineers right-of-way line for the Caloosahatchee River. The total length of the County Line Ditch is approximately 3.7 miles. The intent of the Contract is to provide for the construction and completion of Phase 1 in every detail of the work including the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete same in accordance with the Procurement Documents. The work consists of special clearing, excavation, stockpiling, construction of two weirs, the maintenance road, rip-rap and plantings for an approximately 2.3-milelong flow-way in accordance with the plans that were prepared by AIM Engineering & Surveying, Inc., which may include, but are not limited to: o Maintenance of Traffic o Surveying (Property line identification, construction staking, and surveyed asbuilt drawings) o Landscape Plantings o Asphalt turnout construction o Clearing and grubbing, including exotic vegetation removal and disposal of all materials generated and disposed of at a proper disposal site o Excavation and Stockpiling o Sheet Pile & Concrete Cap Water Control Structures (Weirs) o Maintenance Road constructed of stabilized subgrade o Bank & Shore and Ditch Lining rip-rap o Barbed-wire fencing removal and installation, tube gates, and guardrail relocation o Testing o Pipe removal and installation o Utility coordination if any o Grassing by seed & mulch, sod and other erosion control measures as required o Complete restoration of construction site o Secure necessary paperwork to access private property when needed o Permits o As-built survey .
