Renovation of a golf course in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a golf course.
Tender for General Contractor Required for Chedoke Golf Clubhouse Roof Replacement. The Chedoke Golf Clubhouse is a standalone two (2) story building that was originally constructed in year 1952, with numerous building additions completed during the 1960's. The existing roof areas are covered with built-up roof (BUR) assemblies supported over various roof deck types including concrete, metal, and wood. The Successful Bidder will be required to perform full-scale roof replacement on Roof Areas 101, 102, 203, 204, 205, 207 & 301 totalling approximately 6,000 sq. ft in area and provide surface protection from damage for other roof areas not in contract where project traffic/equipment is needed to travel/be placed. The roof replacement work will entail removal of the existing roof system materials down to the level of existing roof deck surface, and the installation of new conventionally insulated built-up roof (BUR) assemblies to meet/exceed a wind uplift testing value of -63 lbs/sq. ft. in accordance with CSA A123.21, and a minimum of Class A Fire Resistance in accordance with CAN/ULC-S107 and CAN/ ULC-S126, as outlined within the Project Tender Documents. The Successful Bidder will also be responsible for the installation of new wood blocking/sheathing materials, the removal, temporary safe storage, and reinstallation of roof top mechanical units/equipment back to full operation, the installation of all specialty accessory flashings and roof drains, and the installation of new sheet metal flashings over new membrane flashings as designated on detail/assembly locations. Finally, the Successful Bidder will be required to provide site safety/safe work access, provide removal of all debris from site, and to coordinate roof replacement work with site/City representatives so as to not disrupt the normal function of the golf course/clubhouse during the project.
