As of 02/15/2022 This project has been awarded to ELLIS MCCLAIN CONSTRUCTION LLC in the amount of $49,568.75. The City of Kentwood (the "City") issues this RFP to seek bids from qualified concrete contractors (the "Bidders") to complete the construction of specified concrete sidewalks within the City (the "Work") in accordance with the specifications, terms and condition. A mutually agreeable time schedule for completion of the Work ("Schedule of Work") shall be as agreed upon between the Contractor and the City's Project Manager prior to commencement of the Work by Contractor. Changes to the Schedule of Work may be mutually agreed upon between the Contractor and the City's Project Manager at any time during the Contractor's performance of the Work. Contractor may not start the Work until April 15, 2022. Completion of the project is required by September 30, 2022. Contractor shall have a total of 90 contiguous days to complete the work once the Work has begun. Liquidated damages of $200.00 per day shall be imposed if the Contractor does not complete the work within the 3-month timeframe, or does not complete the work prior to September 30, 2022. Contractor shall replace any sidewalk within 72 hours of removal and sidewalks shall not be left unpoured over a weekend period. Any instances documented by the City not meeting the above criteria shall result in a $50.00 contract deduction.
