Invitation to Bid and all its pages, documents and attachments, including those added subsequently by written notice, submitted and properly executed, shall constitute the contract between the City of Midland and the successful vendor when approved and accepted by the City. A certified check or bid bond for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal will be required with each bid. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all or any parts of any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to award in the best interests of the City of Midland. The City of Midland's Washington Woods Senior Living Community at 821 Cambridge Street Midland, MI 48642 is seeking a contractor to replace two heating pumps and corresponding pump accessories in the East Boiler Room. Inside the West Boiler Room, will be the replacement of the existing air compressor and air dryer for the HVAC pneumatic controls. Heating Pump Replacement Scope of Work: Contractor shall supply, but not limited to all labor, permits, materials, supplies, tools/equipment, freight/delivery cost, disposal and supervision required to complete all work as indicated. All electrical work/connections shall be performed by a qualified technician. Demo and remove existing pumps (Bell & Gossett 1510 pumps and 5 hp, 1745 rpm, 200/208 volt 3 phase motor) and correspond rising steam valves and piping as required to install new pumps Install new butterfly valves on both the inlet and outlet side of the pumps and re-pipe and insulate as needed for the new pumps. Pumps will have pressure gauges installed on both the inlet and outlet side of the pump - Pump 2 remove existing piping above the rising steam valve to the top rigid coupling Install new pumps and corresponding motors per manufactures specifications Install new pipe expansion joints on both the inlet and outlet side of the pump Install new triple duty valve Upon completion of the installation the contractor will provide a complete system start-up and inspection of the new system to ensure proper operation Contractor will train and instruct facility staff on pump's operation and functions
