Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Barker, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,992-square-foot, one-story above grade library; for site work for a library; municipal facility; and municipal facility.
The work shall include all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the new single-story, 4,992 square foot municipal building shell on the existing municipal building site, and the associated work shown on the Plans and described in these Specifications. General Construction: Construction includes, but is not limited to, the following: the installation of vapor barrier, perimeter slab insulation, post frame walls and trusses, metal roof panel system, exposed fastener metal wall panel system, gutters, downspouts, aluminum entry storefront, and aluminum clad wood doors and windows. Alternate Bid Item: Alternate Bid Item No. 1: In lieu of installing exposed fastener metal wall panel system in the Base Bid, supply and install pvc decorative trim as indicated on the Contract Drawings. Additive Bid Items: Additive Bid Item No. 1 - General Construction: Furnish and install spray foam insulation within the post frame wall cavity. Additive Bid Item No. 2 - General Construction: Furnish and install Kraft faced batt insulation and continuous wire mesh secured to the underside of trusses. Additive Bid Item No. 3 - Unit Price Removal and Replacement of Unacceptable Material Cost per cu-yard for material removal and replacement beyond the aEURoeBase BidaEUR require 12-inch removal and replacement. Estimated quantity up to 300 cu-yds. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Village of Barker prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
